About

Azar is a production designer and art director working across film, television, theatre, advertising, and music videos. Living between Spain, Canada, and Syria, he draws from layered cultural landscapes to construct visual worlds rooted in research, psychology, and symbolic detail.

His practice operates at the intersection of text, image, and space. He approaches environments as emotional containers, shaping atmosphere through materiality, color architecture, and spatial tension. Each project begins with narrative analysis and evolves into a spatial language where structure, texture, and color carry meaning.

Whether designing for narrative cinema, live performance, or commercial storytelling, his work balances structural precision with heightened cinematic sensibility. He is particularly drawn to layered symbolism, tactile surfaces, and unexpected palettes that challenge realism while remaining emotionally grounded.

Fluent in Arabic, English, Spanish, and French, Azar works internationally and collaborates across disciplines, translating story into physical space with conceptual clarity and meticulous attention to detail. His spaces invite the audience to look twice, revealing meaning gradually through atmosphere and design.
